Listen. Closely.

I might be screaming in my heart
I might be shouting in my mind
But you will never know, anyway

You might be cursing from the start
You might've lied to get in line
So let's try listening anyway.

Snail Rolls Recipe~

By request of Nabby J, here is my very own Snail Rolls recipe you can try at home. I first attempted to make this mini-breads few months back I think I've posted the photos of em too on this very blog~ Below are the required ingredients and directions to bake your own Snail Rolls:
Snail Rolls with Butterscotch Chips

  • 500g all-purpose/wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tspn salt
  • 2 tspn sugar
  • 1 tspn baking yeast
  • herbs (basil&parsley, for salty rolls) or raisins/blackcurrants & allspice (for sweet rolls) or chocolate/butterscotch chips
  • hand-hot water, as required
  • vegetable oil/any fats to be rubbed on the surface of dough pan/container

  1. Mix the eggs and hand-hot water lightly together to make 300ml in a measuring jug.
  2. Add together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast and your choice of either herbs (eg parsley/basil), raisins/blackcurrants and allspice or even chocolate/butterscotch chips. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until you get a breadcrumb-like mixture.
  3. Make a well out of the flour mixture and pour the eggs in the middle of it. Then, work the two until you get a soft-textured dough.
  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough for 10 minutes and cut the dough into any numbers you'd prefer (in my case, usually I would get around 16 pieces of rolls) and then roll the dough into the shape of a snail.
  5. After rolling them all, keep the dough pieces in an air-tight container and leave for an hour to rise.
  6. Bake at the temperature of 220 deg Celcius for around 15++ minutes (best to observe the bakings, you can tell that their done when the rolls' color turns medium brown).

Happy baking and all the best :)

I Want Love (Elton John)

I want love, but it's impossible
A man like me, so irresponsible
A man like me is dead in places
Other men feel liberated

I can't love, shot full of holes
Don't feel nothing, I just feel cold
Don't feel nothing, just old scars
Toughening up around my heart

But I want love, just a different kind
I want love, won't break me down
Won't brick me up, won't fence me in
I want a love, that don't mean a thing
That's the love I want, I want love

I want love on my own terms
After everything I've ever learned
Me, I carry too much baggage
Oh man I've seen so much traffic

So bring it on, I've been bruised
Don't give me love that's clean and smooth
I'm ready for the rougher stuff
No sweet romance, I've had enough

Sometimes it gets stressful at work, at home.. but these experiments I've been doing have been keeping me sane... for now.. :)
Marble Cupcakes... saw 'em rose first hand, k!
Topped the cuppies up with Chocolate icing... <3

The supposedly deformed cupcake... Like I stated on FB... I found love by accident <3

First batches were kinda deformed, and less attractive like the rest of em..  Guess which one turned to be the heart-shaped cake :P
Hubby's dinner - Lamb cutlets, salad, fried macaroni and potatoes..
Tatters baked in milk, herbs and garlic...

So what will be next? Stay tuned. I'll update soon :P

This brings back memories to my childhood days...

I remember when I was fed to these kinda of music ~ those music by Korn, the Deftones, Slipknot, System of A Down... etc.. then suddenly, in MiRC I met a friend who had the same interest in music as I was lol. I was 14 then, and Eugene was 15? We go way back and up until now, we've never meet each other face-to-face yet. Lol. Brace yourself, EUGNE, I'm a very hot wife of someone... (prasan mode: ON).

Back to our topic, well, EUGNE has a band, and I cannot believe how good their songs are~ I guess they have a Korean-metal concept in their music, and yeah, they're good!! So proud of you, EUGNE!!!! :)

Here's the link to Kojira (Eugne's band) music:

I enjoyed it, honestly~ Go check it out, yo!
